After the long absence of contact, nothing unites the industry better than a live event. Therefore, in addition to getting to know the aSR partner network, the focus of the symposium was especially on networking among know-how and decision-makers.

After a well-balanced breakfast, a first cautious networking session and simulator test drives, the event started with the welcome by Mr. Günter Müller (CADFEM International GmbH).
This was followed by a captivating and at the same time awakening keynote speech by Lars Thomsen (future matters AG). Like hardly anyone else, he is able to illustrate complex factors influencing the automotive industry and to build up a perspective of the future of mobility. We are sure that the participants will remember the popcorn metaphor for a long time.

After this enlightening keynote, moderator Christoph Gümbel took the participants on a journey through the components of driving simulation: starting with the environment, continuing with the vehicle and ending with the driver.
Each aSR partner briefly presented its concept and its contribution to the aSR partner network.
The exciting session was only interrupted by a delicious lunch, intensive networking and further eventful simulator rides.
The range of driving simulation components presented vividly demonstrated why a driving simulation network is an obvious choice. aSR presented its collaborative development platform for networking and experiencing driving simulation for this purpose.

The idea workshop was the finale of the symposium. Among the topics discussed were the path to virtual homologation of ADAS and AD functions, the requirements for using the aSR partner network, and the future focus of the aSR platform.

In numbers:

  • 1 day of intensive networking
  • 1 keynote speech by Lars Thomsen
  • 1 partner network
  • 10 partner presentations
  • 49 Know-how and decision makers

You probably already guessed it: the Symposium „Networked Driving Simulation” is the start of a new networking event. So stay tuned for what’s to come.
